Dear Sharyland High School Band Students,

We hope you are well and staying healthy.

We just wanted to add a quick note and let you know that we miss you all and look forward to a time when we are all back together and making music.

Our inboxes are overflowing with questions and concerns related to canceled events and issues related to the end of the year. And while we don't have all of the answers, know that we are working to resolve all issues with as little impact to you as possible.

You need not worry, that is our job. Your job is to stay healthy, keep a positive attitude, and help your family through these difficult times.

We will be in touch as more information becomes available, but in the meantime, enjoy your extended break and take your horns out every once in a while.

Your Sharyland High School Band Directors

A Brief Bit About Me:
- Graduate of Kent State University in Kent, OH
- Valedictorian of Dover High School in Dover, OH
I joined the Sharyland Band department in 2004.  I've worked in the McAllen and Point Isabel School Districts.  In my 23 years of teaching, I've worked with students of all levels, K-12.  Currently my schedule includes our beginner band 6th graders at Bentsen and Martinez Elementary Schools, weekly classes at BL Gray JH, and our High School Mighty Rattler Band. I work with all High School woodwind players.  My main instrument is the flute.  In my free time, I perform with the McAllen Wind Ensemble and the Parula Woodwind Quintet.
