The primary mission of the Sharyland High School Sports Medicine program is to serve and assist the student athletes by providing care through injury prevention, recognition, evaluation, and rehabilitation.  This program will help students learn skills in first aid/cpr, minor wound care, taping prevention techniques, and injury rehabilitation.  They will also obtain valuable service and observation hours in a health care setting.  As a result, student athletic training aides will develop experience with managing class room assignments, be given roles of responsibility, and develop leadership skills all while working in a team environment.
