Hello Sharyland community. My name is Brenda Gloria, and it is a true pleasure to serve this district as the 10th grade cohort counselor. I feel blessed to work with our students and to walk with them through such an important stage of their high school journey.
My husband and I have three wonderful children, two of whom joined Sharyland ISD with me this year. Being both a counselor and a parent here has deepened my appreciation for this community and the work we do each day.
I have spent more than 20 years in education, beginning as a teacher and moving into school counseling, private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor, and now doctoral studies in clinical psychology. Helping people grow has always been at the center of my career, and each step has allowed me to serve in more meaningful ways.
My goal is simple: that every student feels known, supported, and encouraged. I hope they look back on their high school years remembering a counselor who took her time with them and genuinely cared. I believe students thrive when they feel seen and understood, and that guides my work daily.
I look forward to supporting our Rattlers and working together with families throughout the school year.
