On Saturday April 8, 2017, 20 of our UIL Academics students competed at the Regional Level in Mathematics, Number Sense, Calculator Applications, Computer Applications, Science, Ready Writing, Social Studies, LD Debate, Journalism and Current Issues and Events. 
 
35 Schools competed in our Region. It is with great great pleasure, happiness, and pride that I announce that Sharyland High School  is REGIONAL CHAMPS in UIL ACADEMICS for the 2016-2017 Season. Our kids put their strongest efforts forward to make sure Sharyland High School would come out the victor. Our kids and coaches have made history and have accomplished something magnificent. This puts Sharyland HS as one of the top best schools academically in the state.
 
The following is the list of competitors that Placed, denoting which students will be advancing to the STATE level.
 
Out of 35 schools in our region we are advancing 11 students to State Level and we racked up 131 total points. 
 
We are extremely Proud of all of our Coaches and Students and we would like to thank our Administrative Team here and at Central Office for all of their support to our UIL Academics Program.
