Teacher's Note

Greetings and Salutations,

I am proud to be a member of the Mighty Rattler faculty.  It has been a goal of mine to be a part of this team and of the philosophy this district righteously represents.  It is truly an honor!

I'm a McAllen native who's acquired a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas - Pan American with a double major in English and Spanish.  I'm currently a graduate student at Sam Houston State University pursuing a Master in Library Science degree.

The majority of my work experience has been in customer service, and I have adapted many of these principles to my teaching philosophy.  Since 2008, I have had the privilege of educating minds at the middle school level in Harlingen CISD and Edinburg CISD before coming to Sharyland ISD in 2013.

I serve my community, and my passion for teaching and witnessing my students' growth increases daily. I strongly believe that personal connections to any content or discipline strengthen the learning experience. It is my goal to find these connections and facilitate my students' journey of growth, wherever they may be in their academic quest. I teach with the ever-present mentality that today's students are tomorrow's citizens - tomorrow's world.
